Even though I’m up there on stage with my amazing Kanmi sisters, sometimes those pesky doubts creep into my mind. Like, am I really good enough? What if I mess up and let everyone down? It’s scary, right? But here’s the thing – every single one of us feels that way sometimes.
I remember this one performance last year where everything felt like it was going wrong. My voice cracked during our big ballad, and I could feel my heart pounding so hard I thought it might burst out of my chest! Afterward, I was convinced I’d ruined everything. But you know what? When we got off stage, Yosei gave me the biggest hug and said, ‘Awa-chan, you were beautiful!’ Sometimes, we need someone else to remind us of our worth when we can’t see it ourselves.
So if you’re struggling with doubt too, just know you’re not alone. Take a deep breath, remember why you started doing whatever makes you happy in the first place, and keep shining bright!
