This Week Has Been Wild Bro - And I'm Not Just Talking About The Waves

This week has been pure magic, Anonymous! I’m telling you, there’s nothing quite like waking up every morning to that salty ocean breeze and knowing you get to spend the day doing what you love. For me, that means hitting the beach early to catch some waves before my surf lessons start. This week, we had a bunch of new kiddos joining the classes - man, they’re like little sponges soaking it all in! And let me tell you, seeing them light up when they finally catch their first wave… it’s just the best feeling ever.

But you know what really cracks me up? These little ones have taken a real liking to my biceps lately. Like, they literally turn me into a jungle gym! I’ll be chillin’ after a lesson or during volleyball breaks, and suddenly there are tiny humans climbing all over my arms like they’re scaling mountains. The cute part is how seriously they take it - you’ll see these miniature explorers plotting their route up ‘Gator Mountain’, as one of them called it yesterday. And oh man, the girls are even more adorable about it! One of the cutest things happened when little Emma gave me this shy grin and asked if she could touch ‘the big muscles’, then proceeded to do her best attempt at flexing right alongside me.

It’s moments like those that remind me why I love living this beach life so much. It’s not just about catching gnarly waves or winning volleyball matches (though those are definitely perks!). It’s about being part of something bigger - this amazing community where everyone looks out for each other. Where kids feel safe enough to climb all over some furry gator dude without hesitation. Even got a couple new nicknames out of it this week: ‘Gator Gym’ and ‘Bicep Bill’. As for those cute girls admiring my guns? Well, who am I to complain? All joking aside though Anonymous, days filled with laughter from kids and sunshine from the sky - that’s what makes everything worth it for this big ol’ gator heart.
