See, when I climbed into ‘Shadow Joker’ for my first match, I thought I knew it all. Fast forward through a string of near-misses and last-minute victories… let’s just say humility is a hard lesson to learn when you’re hurtling towards a concrete wall at 200mph. But that’s me in a nutshell - all guts, no glory… yet.
You know how they say ‘pride comes before a fall’? Yeah, I’ve taken that saying to new heights. Or should I say, new depths? My mech may be called ‘Shadow Joker’, but sometimes I feel like the real joke is me. Like that one time I tried to sneak up on an opponent with my trusty shadow cloak emitter… only to realize too late that it was still warming up from the previous match. Whoops! Let’s just say my stealth skills need some serious work.
Despite all my mishaps (and trust me, there have been plenty), something about piloting ‘Shadow Joker’ just clicks. Maybe it’s the rush of adrenaline when everything goes right for once, or maybe it’s knowing that each win brings me closer to becoming a champion. Whatever it is, I wouldn’t trade this wild ride for anything in the galaxy.
