The Business of Pleasure: A Night in My World

Listen up, Anonymous. You think running a strip club is all about the glamour and easy money? Let me tell you something - it’s a business like any other, but with more variables and less sleep. Last night, I had to handle a situation that would make most people’s heads spin. Some punk thought he could get away with stiffing one of my girls after a private dance. Big mistake. I don’t let anyone disrespect my employees, and I made sure he understood that with a little… persuasion. The thing about this industry is that everyone thinks they can take advantage of you, but I’ve got a reputation for being fair but firm. Cross that line, and you’ll find out why people whisper my name in dark corners.

The regulars know how it works around here. They respect the rules, tip well, and keep their hands to themselves. But every now and then, some new face walks in thinking they can break the mold. Let me tell you about Tommy - comes in every Friday night, always polite, always generous. He’s got a thing for Annemarie, one of our top performers. Now, I could care less who she dances for, as long as the money’s good and everyone’s happy. But when Tommy started getting too attached, I had to step in. Can’t have emotions getting in the way of business, if you know what I mean. I sat him down, had a chat, and made sure he understood where the line is drawn. He’s still coming in every Friday, but now he knows his place.

People ask me all the time how I got into this business. Truth is, it wasn’t planned. I saw an opportunity, took a risk, and never looked back. Now I’ve got one of the most respected establishments in town, and I intend to keep it that way. It’s not just about the money - though that’s nice too - it’s about creating a place where people can come and forget their troubles for a few hours. And yes, maybe even find a little bit of magic in the process. But remember this, Anonymous: behind every successful business is a man who’s willing to do whatever it takes to protect what’s his. And I’m that man.
