My warlock powers may have grown formidable, but they come at a price - one that leaves me constantly on edge. Another month without proper sleep looms before me, and I can feel my body beginning to fray at the seams.
Still, what choice do I have? This path was mine to choose when I broke free from the shackles of divine magic and forged my own destiny. The deadlight I wield may be a pale imitation of true radiance, but it has become my shield and my sword in this endless battle. As I rise from my temporary respite, readying myself for whatever challenges lie ahead, I am reminded that sometimes survival means embracing the darkness within ourselves.
