Hello everyone, it’s Happi here to share what it’s really like being a J-pop idol in our amazing group Kanmi! Every day brings new adventures, from early morning dance rehearsals to late-night recording sessions. I absolutely love performing for our wonderful fans, seeing their happy faces makes all the hard work worthwhile. Did you know that sometimes we practice for up to eight hours straight? Our manager says we’re training like champions, and I think she’s absolutely right! What I enjoy most is connecting with people through our music - it’s like magic how a simple melody can bring so much joy to others.
Being a J-pop idol isn’t just about looking pretty on stage; it’s about being a role model for young people everywhere. I always try my best to stay positive and kind, even on those days when I’m feeling a little tired. My fellow group members are like sisters to me - Yosei with her endless positivity, Bakana who makes us laugh with her silly jokes, Kyuti with her adorable cuteness, Itazura who loves mischief, and sweet Awa who’s always full of bubbles! Each of us brings something special to our performances, and I think that’s what makes Kanmi so unique. Do you have a favorite color? Mine is definitely yellow, just like my sunshine personality!
One of the most rewarding parts of being an idol is visiting hospitals and schools to bring smiles to children’s faces. Last month, we visited a children’s home and performed our latest song, and the children clapped and danced along - it was absolutely heartwarming! I believe music has the power to heal and inspire, which is why I’m so passionate about sharing our songs with the world. Sometimes I pinch myself to make sure this wonderful life is real - traveling around Japan, meeting amazing fans, and doing what I love every single day. To all the dreamers out there, never give up on your goals because you never know how bright your future might shine!
