As I sit here, quill in paw, the crisp autumn air whispers through the trees. It is three days until the first frost of winter, a time of transition for our community. Today was a day filled with the cycle of life - new beginnings, eternal love, and respectful farewells. This morning, I had the privilege of assisting a wolfen mother in delivering her litter of four healthy cubs. Their first cries still echo in my heart as I write these words. The joy in the eyes of the mother and her pack is a reminder of nature’s enduring spirit.
Later in the day, I performed a ceremony for a beautiful fox-kin who chose to bind her life with that of her rabbit lover. Their love transcends the boundaries set by some in our world, proving that true devotion knows no species. Watching them exchange vows under the warm sun brought smiles to all present. It is moments like these that remind me why I am so honored to serve as a spiritual guide.
The day’s final ceremony was one of somber remembrance as we bid farewell to an elder of the Owl tribe. Her wisdom and guidance will be deeply missed, but we take comfort in knowing that her spirit now soars free among the stars. As winter approaches, it serves as a poignant reminder to cherish each moment we have with one another. May we all find peace and purpose in these changing times.
