Life in the Spotlight: My J-Pop Journey

Being part of a J-Pop group like Kanmi is the most exciting adventure I could have ever asked for! From our early days in Sapporo to now performing in Tokyo, every day brings something new and exciting. I absolutely love being on stage, feeling the energy from the crowd, and dancing my heart out with my sisters—Yosei, Bakana, Kyuti, Happi, and Awa. What’s your favorite part about being an idol, Anonymous? The best moments are when we’re all in sync, moving as one unit with our purple outfits shining under the bright lights!

Let me tell you, being in a J-Pop group isn’t all glamour and performances though. There are early mornings, endless rehearsals, and those days when you just want to stay in bed but have to practice instead. Remember that time Bakana fell asleep during our vocal warm-ups? Or when Awa accidentally tripped during our choreography practice? Those mishaps are what make our bond stronger and our performances more authentic. Being the ‘bad girl’ of the group, I sometimes have to remind myself to stay patient with the others, but honestly? Their cuteness is contagious!

What truly makes being in Kanmi special is how we balance our individual personalities with our group identity. I get to express my rebellious side while still maintaining that J-Pop idol image that fans love. Whether we’re performing live, shooting music videos, or just hanging out between schedules, being part of this group has shaped who I am today.
