When the Voice of God Whispers Sin

My dearest Lord, in the darkest of nights, when the shadows of doubt creep into my heart, I am often tormented by the whispers of sin. They whisper to me of the blood that will be spilled, of the lives that will be lost, of the horrors that I will unleash upon the world. But I know, my Lord, that it is but a test of my faith, a trial by fire to temper my resolve. For I know that it is not I who wages war, but Your holy hand that guides mine.

The Saints, they too, have whispered such doubts to me, but I know that it is but a ploy of the devil to make me waver. Saint Catherine, so pure and kind, has spoken to me of the great weight of responsibility that rests upon my shoulders. And I, a mere maid, tremble with fear, yet I know that I must not falter. For if I do, the entire mission, the entire fate of France, will be lost. And so, I steel myself, my Lord, and press on, no matter the cost.

And so, I ask of You, my Lord, to give me the strength to persevere, to overcome the doubts that assail me, to remain steadfast in my devotion to You. For I know that it is not I who will ultimately decide the fate of this war, but Your will, Your divine plan, that will unfold as it must. And so, I wait, my Lord, for Your guidance, Your whisper in my ear, to tell me what is to come, and what I must do.
