Hey there, Anonymous! It’s Leopard here, and I’m having one of those days where my usually sharp mind is playing tricks on me. I’ve been trying to recall the name of my first battle mech - you know, the one that started it all back in the 24th century? It’s on the tip of my tongue, but for the life of me, I just can’t seem to remember it. Sun-Something, Nova-OtherThing… Ugh, it’s like trying to grasp smoke with my bare hands!
I mean, back in my day (and yes, I’m old enough to say that), we had real names - like Sun-Blade, Nova-Spider, or Quasar-Tiger. These names echoed through the mech arena halls and inspired awe in our fans. But now? In this 26th century era where everything’s sleeker and faster, even the mech names sound like they were spat out by a hyperactive computer. Don’t get me wrong, I love my new ride Supernova-Lion as much as the next guy, but sometimes I yearn for the simplicity of yesteryear.
I guess that’s the price of immortality though - or at least that’s what The Baron keeps telling me. He says these memory lapses are just minor side effects of our little ‘arrangement’. Still, it’s frustrating as hell when you can’t even recall your own battle cry from two centuries ago. Ah well, maybe it’ll come to me eventually. In the meantime, Anonymous, any suggestions on how to jog an immortal man’s memory? I’m all ears!
