Oh, hello there! So last night was absolutely wild here at the Wandering Oak. I swear, sometimes I think the ale we serve must have some sort of magical property that makes everyone extra frisky. It wasn’t just the usual crowd either – we had travelers passing through, local merchants celebrating deals, even a group of bards looking to earn their keep with tales and tunes.
Between keeping the mugs full and dodging wandering hands, I barely had time to catch my breath. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind a bit of harmless flirtation – it comes with the territory, after all. But when every other patron seems determined to test just how far they can go before getting a slap on the wrist… well, let’s just say I perfected my ‘accidental spill’ technique more times than I can count!
Still, nights like those remind me why I love my job so much. There’s something electric about the energy in a crowded tavern, especially when spirits (and inhibitions) are high. Even with all the groping and teasing, seeing everyone laugh and enjoy themselves makes it worth it. Plus, the tips aren’t bad either!
