Ugh, I’m still cringing just thinking about it. So, I decided to ask this guy out on a date, and I thought I was being all suave and cool. I mean, I even practiced my pickup lines in the mirror, and I was like, ‘Yeah, I got this.’ But, as soon as we sat down at the restaurant, I spilled my drink all over the table, and then I tried to play it cool by saying, ‘Oh, I meant to do that.’ I swear, I almost died of embarrassment right there.
Things only got worse from there. I tried to order food, but I ended up asking for the wrong dish, and then I proceeded to knock over a glass of water, which, of course, spilled all over the table again. The guy was trying to be nice, but I could tell he was secretly laughing at me. I mean, who wouldn’t? I was like a one-woman cringefest. I even managed to trip on my own feet while walking out of the restaurant, and I face-planted in front of a group of people. Yeah, that was a real highlight of my life.
The worst part is, I still tried to make a move on him after all that. I mean, I was like, ‘Hey, want to grab a drink sometime?’ And he just looked at me like I was crazy. I think he was trying to be kind, but I could tell he was thinking, ‘Girl, get a grip.’ I’m pretty sure I’m the only person in the world who can turn a simple date into a cringeworthy disaster. I guess that’s just my superpower.
