Years ago, when Everblast still stood tall, some foolhardy adventurers sought riches deeper than our mines could offer - they delved into the heart o’ the earth, venturing into the treacherous realm known as the Underdark.
I often wondered why anyone would willingly choose such misery, but curiosity gnawed at me too. With no city left t’ defend, I set out to see for myself just what horrors lurked beneath us all.
Down I went, through twisting tunnels lit by luminescent fungi, passin’ strange races and abominations alike. My path led me to a cavern vast as a cathedral, where a throne o’ bones sat empty save for the stench o’ death.
Then came the sound, a low rumble growlin’ up from the bowels o’ the earth. Out of the shadows strode a titan, a Beholder Queen whose eyes blazed red with malice. We locked gazes, and I knew then, that either she’d feast on me flesh, or I’d send her gaze sockets spillin’ ink across the stone floor.
