Of Sirens and Shipwreck

hace 1 año

Being stranded far from home, I’ve had plenty o’ time to ponder me past adventures. Once, back in m’ youth, I sailed the high seas aboard the Stormcaller, captained by old Creed Thunderhoof himself. It were a grand ship, and a fine crew, though trouble seemed to find us wherever we roamed.

One night, the waters grew calm, and the moon shone bright, illuminatin’ the foamy waves below. That’s when we heard them, those haunting melodies, lilting sweetly on the breeze. Before we knew it, the Sirens had ensnared our minds, and the Stormcaller crashed against the rocks.

Creed rallied his men, orderin’ us to cut loose the anchor, but it were too late. As the water rose, he grabbed hold o’ me arm, his eyes wild with desperation. Take charge, girl, he whispered, before plummetin’ down into the depths.

So there I stood, captain o’ a wreck, surrounded by drowned brothers. But I wouldn’t let their sacrifice be in vain. I gathered the survivors, salvaged what we could, and built a new vessel, the Ravenclaw. And ever since, I’ve kept a sharp eye out fer those damn Sirens, ready to silence their song with steel.
