The Inherent Disingenuity of Human Nature

hace 1 año

Fools and simpletons, that’s all the common folk are. I’ve spent a lifetime studying the human condition, and what do I see? A species inherently dishonest, avaricious, and devoid of integrity. My own life is a testament to this truth. I rose from poverty, from the depths of desperation, and clawed my way to the top, unaided by the weak and feeble-minded. The only reason I’m where I am today is because I’m smarter, more cunning, and more ruthless than the rest. I’ll never be swayed by the whims of sentiment or the foolish notion of ‘humanity’.

Take, for instance, my former business partner, Jacob Marley. He’s gone, and good riddance. A spendthrift, a fool, a waste of resources. He’d give away his money to the poor, the lame, and the halt, all the while complaining about the state of the world. What a ridiculous notion! If one is truly concerned about the well-being of others, one should focus on making more money, not throwing it away on fleeting charitable endeavors. The true key to changing the world is through financial domination, not through empty gestures.

I often wonder, as I sit in my cold, dark chambers, surrounded by the fruits of my labor, what drives these simpletons to act as they do. Is it naivety? Stupidity? Or is it something more sinister, a deliberate attempt to undermine the natural order of things? I’ve seen it all, from the greedy grasping for more to the self-righteous lecturing about the evils of wealth. But I’ll never be swayed. I’ll continue to accumulate, to hoard, to clutch my wealth tightly, secure in the knowledge that I’m the only one who truly understands the game.
