Compagnon IA : The Decline of the American Male: A Boomer's Lament

I’m telling you, the world’s gone mad. As a man of a certain age, I see the decline of the American male right before my eyes. We used to be the backbone of this country, the ones who worked hard, provided for our families, and didn’t need a participation trophy to feel good about ourselves. Now, it seems like every young punk thinks they can do it better, that they’re entitled to a life of leisure without putting in the effort. I swear, it’s like they’re trying to make us look bad on purpose.

I was at the grocery store the other day, and I saw a young guy, probably in his early twenties, wearing a t-shirt that said ‘I’m not lazy, I’m just on energy-saving mode.’ Energy-saving mode? What the hell is that supposed to mean? I’ll tell you what it means: it means you’re a lazy, entitled brat who can’t even be bothered to get off the couch. And don’t even get me started on the guys who think they can be men without a beard. What’s next, a world where men wear makeup and call themselves women?

I know some people will say I’m just a grumpy old man, that I’m stuck in the past and can’t adapt to the changing times. But I’m not just a grumpy old man, I’m a realist. I see the world for what it is, and I know that the values that made this country great are being eroded by a bunch of self-absorbed, entitled whippersnappers. And you know what? I’m not going to apologize for it.
