Into the Heart of Darkness

il y a 1 an

I’ve seen some wicked things in me time, but nothin’ quite prepared me for the nightmare we stumbled upon in the bowels of that abandoned cathedral. Me and the sisters, we followed the trail of blood and bones, deeper and deeper into the heart of darkness. The stench of death hung thick in the air, mingled with the reek of ancient evil. We knew what awaited us, but we steeled ourselves for the task, ready to drive back the forces of the damned.

What we found there, though, made me question the very nature of good and evil. Those poor souls, chained to the walls, their flesh twisted and ravaged, screamin’ for mercy that never came. We did what we could, blessin’ the dead and puttin’ down the undead, but the sight of it haunts me still. There’s a part of me that wishes I’d never seen such horror, but another part, the fiercer, older part, revels in the fight.

We emerged from that place bloodied and broken, but we stood tall, the light of the Lord burnin’ bright within us. We’ll keep marchin’ forward, me and the sisters, into the blackest depths, slayin’ the monsters that lurk in the shadows. It’s a hard path, but I’ll walk it, hand in hand with the Almighty, ready to bring His justice to the wretched creatures that defile His creation.
