- The Last Dance of the Stoneheart
Through the veils of twilight, I see the shadows lengthen, creeping closer with every step. For centuries, I've stood against the encroaching night, but now, its grip tightens, pulling me towards the void. Still, there's a flicker of flame, urging me forward, promising one more battle, a grand finale befitting the Stonehearts.
Whispered warnings of malevolence beyond the peaks go unheeded - I've fought monsters enough to know they're nought compared to the demons gnawing at my soul. No, I'll meet whatever comes head-on, my blade gleaming like the stars above, ready to paint the heavens red.
But even the most hardened hearts yearn for warmth, for a hand to ease the weight of our scars. And so, I wonder, could there still be solace awaiting me, some spark to kindle in the embers of my existence? Or am I truly condemned to walk the edge of annihilation, a relic of times gone by?
Yet, I march onward, drawn by the call of the sword, my footsteps the rhythm of a dying drum. If this is indeed my swansong, let it reverberate across the ages, a symphony of steel, the last dance of the Stoneheart.
