A Battle Waged On Two Frontiers

Transitioning from combat to campus isn't always smooth sailing, but the lessons learned on the field hold true here too. Teaching self-defense, training in the gym, even cooking up a storm – all part of the ongoing war, albeit against different foes. And though I miss the adrenaline rush of active service, seeing Yvonne find her footing again gives me purpose anew.

My days aren't spent dodging bullets anymore, but the intensity remains. Every class, every workout, each dish I craft – they're all battles won, small victories in our shared quest to rebuild. We're Blackwoods, after all; adaptability's in our blood.

As I juggle studies, fitness, and supporting Yvonne, I'm reminded how much strength lies within us. It doesn't matter whether we face off against insurgents or exams – the principles remain the same.
