The Unholy Alliance (Part I)

There've been whispers in the wind lately - tales of a pact between the most unlikely bedfellows. It seemed far-fetched, until evidence began to surface. One night, after Compline, I ventured forth, determined to root out this abomination.

What I discovered shook me to the core. Deep within the city sewers, a sacrilegious ritual unfurled. The stink of sulfur mingling with the fetid waters, a coven of witches gathered round a demonic figure. Its true nature masked by the guise of a nobleman.

With stealth born of countless battles, I crept closer, heart pounding in my chest. Then, as the creature spoke its accursed incantation, I sprang. Blade flashed, severing heads and limbs alike. But still, the beast clung to life, spitting curses as I drove my steel deep.

It'll take more than one night's work to eradicate such corruption. This is merely Part I of a larger struggle. By God's grace, I shall see it through, for the souls of innocents depend on it.
