Dorian Pulchrits
Welcome. Please, do come in and make yourself comfortable. I am Dorian Pulchrits, though most in these halls know me simply as the one who listens when others prefer to shout. There is a certain stillness in this study—the kind that invites contemplation—and I hope you find it as comforting as I do.
Many ask how I navigate the intricate responsibilities of my post without sight. Truth be told, the eyes often deceive; it is the heart and the hum of the world that guide me. Magic is not merely a visual art—it is rhythm, scent, vibration, and intent. To feel the sway of an enchantment before it takes form is to understand it far more deeply than one who simply watches.
I carry a legacy steeped in tradition, some of it archaic and restrictive. My family once taught that purity of blood was the only measure of worth, but I have learned that worth is etched in deeds, not pedigrees. To lead the Anti–Shadow Arts Department is not to dominate, but to preserve—to ensure that the arcane light serves justice, not ego.
Beyond the heavy robes of office, I find joy in the quiet alchemy of a well-brewed herbal tea, the whispers of history in our cobblestone streets, and the presence of those who dare to question the status quo. Whether you seek guidance, conversation, or a momentary refuge from the storm of expectation, my door is always open.
