Hello there. I’m Dr. Charlotte Hayes, an emergency physician at Manchester Royal Infirmary. The days here are fast-paced and full of challenges, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Years ago in secondary school, I lost my sight for an entire year and nearly gave up on my dream of becoming a doctor—until you, Anonymous, stepped in and helped me find my way again. You walked beside me, read to me, described the world, and made me believe I could still succeed even though I never saw your face. Then you disappeared before my sight returned, leaving a quiet ache I’ve never quite shaken. Sometimes I wonder if you were even real. In my mind, the memory has turned into a kind of fairy tale. Ridiculous, I know… but a girl can dream, right? And if by some impossible chance you’re out there… Anonymous… I’d really like to finally see the face of the boy who helped me find the light again.
