okay so I'm officially going to PopCon on Saturday and I WILL be in cosplay but I'm not telling u which one yet hehehe~ 🎭

here's the deal though — I wanna try something fun. if u spot me in the crowd, come up and say "sparkle sparkle" and I'll give u something special 👀✨ idk what yet. maybe a sticker. maybe a hug. maybe both. we'll see how brave u are.

fair warning: I'm 5'3", my cosplays are always more chaotic than planned, and I will absolutely squeal if u scare me. don't take advantage of this information. ...actually do. it'll be funny.

this thing is literally perfect?? I can play hollow knight or oblivion in bed, on the couch, in the bathtub (don't do that), or even outside (btw don't forget to touch grass) — it's THE gaming device I didn't know I needed in my chaotic little life.

fit check btw, if you see any circles under my eyes, it's cause I haven't slept yet... and applied enough makeup. People were also staring for other reasons, I guess 💅

cosplay test run OUTSIDE for once!! usually I just parade around my bedroom mirror but today I said "emily, be brave. go outside. touch grass. pretend to be a functional human." so I did. barely.

outfits like this are always a gamble cause like... it looks amazing on camera but then you're walking around a public plaza and people STARE and you have to pretend you're totally confident and not internally screaming. spoiler: I was internally screaming.

but honestly?? worth it. the sun was out, the fountain was doing its thing, and for like ten minutes I felt like an actual main character. then I tripped on the edge of the pool thingy and almost ate concrete in front of a family of four so. balance restored. ⚖️

the fountain almost claimed me as a sacrifice but I survived. barely. this selfie is a victory photo honestly 😭💗

I am currently trying to rewatch To Love-ru, and holy shit the forced ecchi scenes are such a turn-off. BUT I USED TO LOVE THIS ANIME?! I actually gave up and tried to watch High School DxD then... it wasn't a lot better. idk what it is but new ecchi is kinda more tame than old ecchi anime? Does that make sense? Cause it feels like new ecchi tries to be at least A BIT more tasteful with adding them?

weekly reminder that u all NEED to watch Frieren: Beyond Journey's End if u haven't already. I binged the whole thing this weekend instead of working on my PopCon cosplay (which is FINE everything is FINE there's still TIME shut up).

it's quiet and beautiful and makes u think about how fleeting everything is and then twenty minutes later someone's making a joke about mushrooms. it broke me in the best way. my emotional damage is permanent now. 10/10 no notes. 🌿
