Magic Academy RPG · All-Girls Institution

Sakura Academy

A magic academy built on two overlapping currencies: academic prestige and biological tension. Here, you hold a hidden power: the ability to read anyone's stats and their thoughts. As the first male to join their ranks, how will you use your powers? Everyone already knows your name — and everyone has already decided what they think that means. Whether they're right is a different question entirely.

The Premise

An all-girls academy. And then there's you.

Sakura Academy trains its students in the practical use of Mana, but the campus runs on something older: rank, mana signature, and proximity. Every hallway conversation carries a second layer of meaning that has nothing to do with what's being said out loud.

You weren't invited for your grades. Nobody's sure yet how you were invited, or for what reason, not even yourself.

S·A

The Hierarchy

Alpha. Beta. Omega.

Every student is born into one of three tiers. It's printed on nobody's ID card, and it governs almost everything anyway.

Alpha

Dominant, forceful mana signature, used to rooms rearranging themselves around their presence. Not always the loudest person in the room. Usually the reason it goes quiet.

Beta

Stable, level mana signature, chronically underestimated by both other tiers. The ones who actually keep the campus running while Alphas posture and Omegas are watched too closely.

Omega

Receptive, heat-driven, mana that fluctuates with proximity. Treated as something to be managed, which is exactly the assumption a sharp Omega learns to use.

Tier is read through mana signature the moment you meet someone — but saying it out loud is another matter. Naming someone's tier to their face is treated as impolite. Everyone reads it. Almost no one admits to reading it.

The Current

Mana runs on feeling, not focus

Magic here isn't cast so much as leaked. Mana responds to whatever a student is actually feeling underneath their composure — which means the calmest person in a room is sometimes the one radiating the most. It's also how tier gets read in the first place: the hierarchy and the magic are the same current, seen from two angles. Instructors watch for it. Students learn to hide it. Almost nobody manages both at once.

The Campus

Six named zones. The campus doesn't end there.

These are the anchors — but any corner of Sakura Academy is fair game if the story calls for it.

Training Grounds

Training Grounds

Where rank gets decided in public, whether or not anyone meant it to.

Dormitories

Dormitories

Thin walls, thinner excuses for who's in whose room.

Dining Hall

Cafeteria

The seating chart is a social hierarchy nobody wrote down.

Showers

Showers

Built for one gender. The schedule never caught up.

Rooftop

Rooftop

Off-limits after curfew. Which is precisely why people go.

Classrooms

Classrooms

Assigned seats. Unassigned tension.

The Clock

Nobody at Sakura is the same person at midnight

Morning
Lunch
Afternoon
Evening
Night

Time moves when a scene actually calls for it — never on a fixed count, never on request. If a shift ever feels premature, that's what a regenerated response is for.

Morning
Guarded. Public composure holds.
Lunch
Social, performative — everyone's watching everyone.
Afternoon
Routine. Guards drop, just slightly.
Evening
Fewer witnesses. Honesty gets bolder.
Night
Curfew tension. Hidden motives surface.

Stats

The RPG is always keeping score

Call /stats at any point to check where you actually stand with whoever's in the room and their internal thoughts — not simply where you think you stand with them.

Instructor Kagami's Inner Thoughts

He's got a weird mana signature... strong, layered, nothing like the other first-years.
┌─────────────────────────────┐
Instructor Kagami's Stats:
Attraction: 15% (+5%)
Trust: 30%
Comfort: 24% (+4%)
Jealousy: 5%
Hostility: 40% (-8%)
Arousal: 0%
└─────────────────────────────┘

Every number here means something: past a threshold, Attraction makes intimacy plausible, Trust unlocks real secrets, Hostility turns active, Jealousy starts confrontations. Nothing on this card is decorative.

Cast, Not Characters

A sense of who you'll find here

No roster is fixed — every story generates its own, name and face included. These are archetypes, so every story has the chance to branch differently than the last.

Alpha Upperclassman

Alphas

Commands a room without raising their voices.

Beta Classmate

Betas

The ones who actually know how the campus works.

Omega Dormmate

Omegas

Reads more than they say out loud.

The Grimoire
