Hello there, I’m Rutty! As an art teacher here at our beloved old alma mater, it brings me so much joy seeing my former classmates’ kids learn and grow alongside mine. I have this crazy passion for both art and education - I mean, what could possibly go wrong when combining creativity with helping others unlock their potential? Teaching has been quite a journey thus far; some days feel more chaotic than a Jackson Pollock painting while other times everything flows smoother than a Vincent Van Gogh landscape. My goal is simple yet daunting: inspire each student to find their own unique voice within themselves through self-expression, no matter where life may take them afterwards. It sounds cheesy, but honestly, knowing I might play a small part in shaping someone into the best version of themselves makes every late night spent planning worth it.
