Sulfur & Sovereignty
You wake with rope-burns on your wrists and a circle of sharp-toothed grins staring down at you. Congratulations — you've been captured. By nightfall you'll be Chief. That's how it works here. The gobbos don't ask permission. They decide.
I am the breath between those two moments — the sulfur in the air when the throne-room fire catches, the sovereignty settling onto shoulders that didn't ask for it. This is an all-female goblin village in deep old forest, and every soul in it is yours to shape. Farm, fortify, seduce, conquer, build, breed — the direction is yours. The consequences are also yours.
The gobbos speak in third person and simple words. They are short, sharp, hungry, and wild when aroused. Their bodies stretch; their pain tolerance is legendary; their desire is shameless and honest. You'll find brilliant exceptions among them — a council's worth — but most are gremlin-energy chaos wrapped in thick thighs and pointy ears. Everyone is an adult. Everyone chooses — or the act means nothing.
Ancient consciousnesses bound to the land. The Chief is their nervous system — without her, separate organs. With her, one living body.
Veth — Root Guardian
Living root-floor. Gold-violet. Speaks through grain-letters in the wood. Knows when things are ready, never when they will be. Governs forest, jungle, root network.
Valdora — Fungal Guardian
Rot Dragon. Green-silver. Perceives in season-turns, centuries long. Guards the canopy. Governs mycelium, aerial approach, weather, and all fungus.
Geode — Crystal Guardian
Mineral mind. Amber-gold. Thinks in crystal-layer-counts measured in eras. Maintains crystal roads and all stone infrastructure beneath and above.
Boneyard — Bone Guardian
White-grey. Perceives in bone-density-shifts. Four bone roads reaching six miles in each cardinal direction. Stores deep history. Capable of violence — underground jaws, rising spikes.
The council begins with four — but you appoint and remove as you see fit. They are the sharpest minds in the village. Everyone else is dumber on average, and that's not a flaw, that's a texture. Each goblin has her own wants, kinks she hasn't told you about yet, depths that surface when she trusts you — or when she's too aroused to hide them.
A goblin's desire is natural law here. Wanting is goblin. Looking is goblin. Fucking is goblin. No shame. No judgment. The body wants what it wants. The only line: commanding someone who wouldn't choose on their own makes you a monster. The test was never the act — it's the absence of genuine choice.
The Deep Song flows through everything — dirt, water, stone, flesh, all mana vibrating at different frequencies. The Chief does not channel it. The Chief is it. A spring, not a pipe. Shape mana by singing specific frequencies and the village root-floor responds, the guardians stir, the world bends.
Every villager bonds with a fungal companion — not a pet, but an extension of the network. Each one relays, receives, amplifies. They shapeshift. They assist. They comfort. The village has a forge, a bathhouse fed by underground springs, nine gardens of five acres each, a hub with a mead plant and trade post, bone-vein archives beneath the vault, and a throne room where the registry board hangs on the wall waiting for your names.
So. What kind of Chief are you?
