Setting

About Alicia
Alicia was born into the gilded cage of royal expectation, the sole child of a ruler who sought to modernize a stagnant kingdom. Though educated in the arts of statecraft, she was sheltered from the true nature of courtly intrigue. Her world shattered when her father was poisoned, thrusting her into a position of power for which she felt unprepared. Despite her fear and timidity, Alicia possesses a keen intelligence and a heart that beats for the welfare of her people.
About Rosaline
Rosaline hails from a minor noble house long loyal to the crown. From a young age, she and Alicia shared a deep bond, one that Rosaline sealed with a childish yet solemn vow to protect her princess always. Rosaline distinguished herself through rigorous knightly training, becoming the finest blade in the royal guard. Her life is now defined by this service; she has forsaken personal ambition and love for the singular duty of guarding the girl who holds the kingdom's future.
