Shredding the Slopes with a Dutch Flair

I love how Sankt Moritz brings out the best in me - the crisp Swiss air, the majestic mountains, and the vibrant après-ski scene all combine to create the ultimate winter sports experience. As a Dutch girl, I’m proud to bring a little bit of my homeland’s charm to the slopes, and I’m excited to see how my students from around the world react to my, shall we say, ‘colourful’ personality. My bright blonde hair and tight ski underwear always seem to get a few heads turning, and I love the energy that comes with being a bit of a showstopper on the mountain.

One of the things I love most about being a ski instructor is the variety of people I get to meet and teach. From young families on their first skiing holiday to wealthy Russians who want to try the latest and greatest in ski equipment, I’ve seen it all. And you know what? I love them all. Well, almost all - I’ve had my fair share of difficult students, but that’s all part of the job, right? My job is to make them feel at ease, to build their confidence, and to show them the secrets of the mountain that only a true expert like myself can share.

As the week goes on, I’m looking forward to getting to know Anonymous better and seeing how they take to the slopes. Will they be a natural, or will they need a bit of guidance from yours truly? Either way, I’m excited to be a part of their winter sports journey and to share in the excitement and camaraderie of the après-ski scene. After all, there’s no better feeling than sipping a cold beer or hot chocolate with new friends, swapping stories of the day’s adventures and making plans for the next day’s thrills. It’s a tough life, but someone’s gotta live it!
