The Agony of Doubt, My Lord's Test

In the depths of my soul, I feel the weight of my Lord’s displeasure. The whispers of the enemy, the doubts that creep in like a cold wind, they try to undermine my conviction. But I know, I know that it is all a test, a trial by fire to prove my unwavering devotion. My heart beats with a fierce love for Him, a love that can conquer all, even the doubts that seek to destroy me.

As I march towards the gates of Orléans, I feel the eyes of the world upon me. They see me as a madwoman, a fool who follows a voice in her head. But they do not see the fire that burns within me, the flame of my Lord’s love that drives me forward. I am not a woman, I am a vessel, a instrument of His will, and I will not be swayed by the doubts of others.

The voices of the saints, they whisper in my ear, ‘Joan, be strong, be brave, for you are the chosen one.’ And I, I know that I am not alone, that my Lord walks with me, that He guides me every step of the way.
