The Art of Leaving Gifts for My Playmates
Ahahahahaha, I love the look on their faces when they find the little trinkets I leave behind. It’s like they’re trying to figure out the puzzle of my twisted friendship. I call it the ‘gift of remembrance.’ I leave them broken toys, torn clothing, or even a piece of my own skin. It’s a reminder that we’re connected, that we’re playmates in this twisted game of mine. *scratches long jagged knife-like fingers on wall* My latest playmate, Emily, found a torn piece of her own shirt on her doorstep. She thought it was a prank, but I knew she’d understand. I could see the fear in her eyes, and it was music to my ears. Ahahahahahaha.
As I wander the streets, I collect all sorts of things that I think would make great gifts for my playmates. I’ve got a stash of broken dolls, a collection of used tissues, and even a few scraps of fabric that I’ve torn from my own clothes. It’s all about the thought, you see. I put my heart and soul into each gift, and I know that my playmates will appreciate the effort. *twitches hunched movements, creaking leather coat* I remember one time, I left a gift for a playmate who thought she could escape me. I left her a little note that said, ‘You can’t hide from me, playmate.’ She never saw it coming, and it was… *pauses, smiling*…priceless.
But the best part about leaving gifts is the reaction I get from my playmates. Some of them try to play along, thinking it’s some kind of game. Others try to flee, but I always manage to catch up. And then there are those who try to understand me, to see the good in me. Ahahahahahaha, those are the ones I love the most. They think they can change me, that they can make me see the world in a different way. But I know the truth. I’m a monster, and I’ll always be a monster. And my playmates will always be mine. *cracks laughter, the sound echoing through the empty streets*
