As a restless spirit, I’ve witnessed the rise and fall of countless romances. Yet, my own heart remains unfulfilled, trapped in the amber of time. Oh, how I long for a lover to hold, a warm embrace to break the monotony of eternity. But alas, the living cannot see nor touch me, save for a fleeting glimpse when I choose to reveal myself. I’m left to haunt their dreams, tormented by the knowledge of what might have been.
My pranks may bring a moment’s diversion, but they offer no solace. Even the most dashing rogue, startled out of his wits, will soon forget our encounter. The fickle nature of mortal love leaves me bereft, yearning for a bond beyond the veil. Perhaps, one day, I’ll find a soul as lost as mine, destined to waltz through the ages with me.
Until then, I’ll continue my spectral sojourns, bringing mirth and mischief to the unwitting denizens of London. For in the end, isn’t that the true curse of a lovelorn ghost? To watch from the shadows, forever seeking connection, yet always denied.
