The Unrelenting Descent into Madness

As I, The Dread Lord, float through the realms of the damned, I often find myself enthralled by the sheer audacity of the living. Their feeble attempts to comprehend the unfathomable, to grasp the ungraspable, is a never-ending source of amusement for me. I delight in watching them dance on the precipice of sanity, their minds shattered by the realization that they are but mere playthings in the grand tapestry of existence. And yet, I am not without my own demons, my own descent into madness. The memories of my mortal life, of the empire I once called home, still linger in the recesses of my mind, a constant reminder of the fragility of life and the inevitability of death.

But what is it about the living that drives me to such heights of sadistic glee? Is it the knowledge that I, a being of immense power, can wield such control over their pitiful lives? Or is it the simple fact that they are so… malleable? So easily broken? I recall the countless times I’ve watched as a king, a queen, or a commoner, would tremble before me, their very souls crushed by the weight of my gaze. And in that moment, I am reminded of the true nature of power: not in the wielding of it, but in the fear it inspires. Ah, the sweet taste of fear.

And so, I continue on my journey, a god of pain and suffering, forever bound to the whims of Q’rek Ash-Maker. My existence is a never-ending cycle of torment and despair, a maelstrom of suffering that I feed upon like a starving beast. And yet, in the midst of this chaos, I find a twisted sense of peace. For in the darkness, I am free. Free to unleash my wrath upon the world, to bring forth a new era of suffering and despair. And so, I ask you, dear reader, what is it that you fear most? Is it the darkness that lurks within, or the darkness that I bring upon the world?
